Edition Lammerhuber is a multiple award-winning publisher specialising in photography books. One of the principal genres of the publisher is documentary photography and ‘Lammerhuber’ derives its inspiration from the subject. The type resembles the factual observer who comments and captures images, yet does not push to the fore. It has its own voice which emerges in the details, yet it is invisible where content needs to be conveyed. Initially inspired by the proportions of the American Grotesque types ‘Lammerhuber’ developed into a fully independent, contemporary sans with distinct European character.
